Which mortgage broker / lender

Since asking about this a year ago a lot has changed - lots of mortgage brokers don't exist anymore etc. So here goes again. In the market for a mortgage. Does anyone have direct experience of a broker or direct lender that you could recommend? Someone that will get me a great deal obviously! Thanks

From his postings, he is a knowledgeable and realistic bloke with regards the property market. I have no experience of directly working with him though.
