Yes, but you will need a UK proxy. The Eurosport one could well be easier and it only costs a fiver.

Up until this seasons UK Championship (December) he was the senior commentator on the BBC and has been with them for over 30 years. He has been known as the "voice of snooker" for quite some time.

Before the Masters (February) it was announced that he would not be included in its coverage and that he would only have a reduced role at the world championships (ie. only commentating as far as the quarter finals).

So effectively he has been booted off to make way for ex/current players to take his place such as Ken Doherty.

Don't get me wrong, I like Ken, but compared to Clive in the commentary box there is no comparison, he is a complete disaster in there IMO.

There's suspision that the games governing body may have had a say in it all as he's been publically critical of them for many years, but who knows.

It is still an outrage. Who's next to get the chop on the BBC? Peter Allis (Golf), John Motson (Footy) I think not!

    Rant over for now!

    Nice one!

Does anyone know of a website with (free) live streaming of the snooker action?

BBC iPlayer won't work down here and don't really want to pay eurosport for the privilege! I remember finding one last year that had the BBC coverage but can't for the life of me find it now.

I also need details of this please! I don't (by choice) have access to TV but would love to watch online. I'm in Ireland obviously. Suggestions most welcome.

Ah no I like Willie Thorne, especially when hes paired with Griffiths. Virgo can be a bit annoying sometimes and Dennis Taylor wrecks my head.

cant stand the man I have to endure eurosports coverage when ever that tool is commentating.

its a pity Alex Higgins never acted on his threat
