Under 10000 to spend

    Hi,
    know asked previously but just looking for opinions on used car - under 10,000 to spend in cash with no trade in.

    looking for family car as have 1 baby - something practical. Do about 400 miles a week so maybe a diesel.

    Angling towards either:
    avensis
    mondeo
    mazada 6
    passet

    would anyone have opinions please on above. tks

    ya wont go wrong with a Mazda 6

    I know 5 people that have em and have never given a bit of trouble
    I would suggest buying up the North though as you would get a better spec than you would down here.

    tks for your opinions.

    ok will have a look at mazda. how much driving would i get out of 80,000 miles used car in either link without spending excessive maintenance etc. Also may have to look at smaller engine - in early 30's but only have 8 years company car experience so quote for insurance coming in at 2k plus.

    That's extortionate for a run of the mill family saloon :eek:

    I thought the insurance companies were giving no claims for company car experience nowadays? Or is that another victim of the big R?

    have tried another company and its coming in at €750 which looks a lot better but can't have any gaps in policy from when i transfer over - must be within 3 wks. something to play with tks.
