Is there anything that can be done about this shower?

They have just gone and increased the sevice charge on tickets for the HEC semi AFTER they messed up (by their own admission). Service charge went from €4.50 on my tickets to €5.25 (per ticket cost obvioualy).

How can a company make a mistake and then CHARGE the customers to rectify that error??

Not to mention the money they got from people being on that 0800 number for hours this week.

Again, is there anything we can do?

NOTE: was going to post this in the sticky, but it was more targeted at TM.

Im not condoning it but they will say it is to cover the increased cost of posting tickets rather than people using the ticketfast option.

    Ticketmaster in poor service shocker!

First they don't tell people that the public tickets were sold out
Then they let people overbook tickets
Then they cancel ALL tickets belonging to anyone (from Leinster) who overbooked
    Now they increase everybodies charges

Please IRFU, never use this shower again!

While I agree in general about ticket master, they cancelled all the tickets of those who overbooked on the instruction of the Leinster branch, and they were dead right to do it too. It was very obvious that you weren't supposed to buy more than 6 yet some decided to anyway, they were greedy and prevented other season ticket holders from getting their allocation and deserve to be at the back of the queue.

I loathe Ticketmaster. I haven't had any bad experiences with regards to rugby tickets (yet!) but they're unbearable when it comes to concert tickets.

Oh actually, they've stopped admitting when rugby tickets have sold out and they just say that your selection can't be found.

Because it's my fault for making the wrong selection, thinking that because the site doesn't say the tickets are sold out that there are still some available.

    Silly me.

Even without the current f**k-up, Ticketmaster have the jammiest monopoly in the world.
The total take for the 82,000 tickets will be around €3.5 million and they get 10% (at least!!) on top of this. For doing exactly what?????? They must be making a bloody fortune.
They rip off all concert goers etc as well. It is a continuous source of amazement to me that they have no viable competitor to them in the market, definitely a potential opportunity for someone !!!

Vote with your fingers. Use tickets.ie as much as possible.

Send an email/phone call to whoever should get it - the IRFU in this case - and tell the that you were frustrated with ticketmaster and want them to use tickets.ie next time.

    They might!
