News on 2 report on the teachers union conference

Not sure if I was half asleep and dreaming this.
Was watching News on 2 last night and their report on the heckling of O'Keefe at some teachers conference was on. It showed some delegates holding placards and I am sure one of them said:

"Stop Vandaling our schools" or something similar.

Was this some purposeful ironic play on words to highlight how his cuts will affect education (in this case, spelling) or was it just a dumb as ****e teacher who made a spelling mistake?

Ah c'mon Noopti, you're not giving us much to get enraged about here. What you're basically saying is " I was very sleepy last night and through my half closed eyes I seen a person carrying a sign that may or may not have had the correct spelling" You have to admit it's not exactly damning evidence.

It's like Pighead walking into a police station and saying " I think somebody may have stolen my bicycle. I last seen it in my bicycle shed and although I haven't checked in there yet, I have checked my bathroom and it's definitely not in there. Please help me"

I noticed that on the RTE site last night. No wonder I was able to go through 13 years of school without one teacher pointing out that I have dyslexia.

There are 3 different types of handwriting on that sign. It also appears that the "vandaling" has been outlined again with red felt tip. Looks like she got one of her students to write it, and it's TUI so if thats the standard of spelling in our secondary schools today they've more to worry about than pay cuts.

If they're shiny stones, she's getting paid too little, even for a Captain Planet fan. If they're precious stones, she's getting paid too much, especially for a Captain Planet fan.

Either way, sign-painting markers should come with spell checkers for those that need them.
