Hi all, just looking to get some feedback on a topic.

How many of you are sick of paying for past exam papers?

Whats your thoughts about a fully functional online outlet to get exam papers for FREE?

Also what annoys you most about not being able to get papers and other course documents such as your course handbook and continuous assessment dates online as every other college has this option in place.

    any other related comments welcome:pac:

    Thanks :D

I have always been able to get my past papers free on the library website. Thought it was the same across the board. Unless you are talking about leaving cert papers?

I've just been looking at the library website

    http://www.library.dit.ie/screens/exams.html

Should be able to get exam papers here if you have your course code.

Yeah, trying to obtain exam papers in this college is an ordeal:pac:

Most papers for my course only go back about two years, and not all subjects
    are listed either.

Didn't know that they were up on the library websites...yeah...quite sick of paying 3 euro for a set of q.pprs ...but quite a few of my lecturers have past pprs up on their website and some actually distribute them in class

My papers were free on the library web site and they went back several years.

Part of the problem is probably the laziness of the lecurers - that the exam questions are always the same or just slight variations so it would make it too easy if you had exam papers going back 10 years on top of your lecture notes which often include the exact examples which you get asked in exams, maybe with just different figures. This is certainly the case for mathematical based subjects, and most other subjects which dont have very broad topics.

In theory all my papers should be online, but there's rarely a year where you'll find 50% of the subjects available.
The selection in the library is even worse. I had no idea you could get a copy of the papers printed... that's quite interesting.
