Hi

I know that this topic comes up once in a while but my friend is thinking about buying a 2nd hand car. Being the pessimist that I am I have told him to get it checked by a mechanic before money changes hands.

As such I have looked through various threads and all anyone seems to recommend is the AA who other members say are over priced and not that good!!

So my 1st question is: Is there anyone who knows of a company which specialises in travelling to a car and checking it over before purchase??

And number 2: This company seems to be cheaper than what people have suggested the AA cost, so has anyone used them before??
