Does anyone know is it possible that I can accept someone as a friend and remain invisible to one of their friends (ie don't show up as a friend, comments appearing in feeds etc). The friend of a friend as an ex and I'd rather not make contact.

You will appear on your friends "friend" list. But you cant ensure the person you want to block does not see posts you make to your friend, if he is a friend of your friend.
