I know i should have started this thread a few days ago, but anyway.

Anyone taking part much? I know there's study to do (trust me, no-one needs to do more than me) but i figure if i waste a day having fun it'll be better than wasting a day and having no fun (which will inevitably happen before the exams).

It's a pity it's on so late. They should have it on earlier next year so people don't miss it for study.

Personally, i think ems day has great potential. But it's up to us to make sure it doesn't become another non-event like rag week!

Absolutely taking part.. Cant beat the warm fuzzy feeling collecting for charity... and you get a free t-shirt!! :D

There'll be fun inflatables and stuff on the Cricket Pitch for every one to enjoy so get on over there and why not donate a few euro while you're at it :)

For those interested, its in aid of Focus Ireland and the Niall Mellon Township Fund.

For any EMS people (or non EMS) out there, if you have a free hour(or one you wanna make free :P), the slots for collecting that are still unfilled are here

    :D

Do all EMS students get lectures off tomorrow?

So apparently its just Engineers who (kinda unofficially) have the day off. Other heads of departments weren't willing to sanction the time off.

Engineers are still expected to attend tutorials and labs. Its at the discretion of the TA/demonstrator if said lab/tutorial is on. Lectures are your own choice (which is the same as always really I suppose).

If you have a free hour tho, why not donate it to Charity. There are collection times from 8am, lectures dont till 9 :P

TP and Maths get nothing off AFAIK, they may as well rename it E-Day. Tomorrow shall most likely be an entirely normal day for me...

It does seem to be pretty much an Engsoc event all right.

Ooh I've only just seen this.

Yes, there were many teething problems with EMS day this year but I promise you next year will be better. Hopefully It'll be held in (Michealmas week 5) and better weather will allow for inflatables to be.. well.. inflated!!

The idea was to get everyone the day off and we were working on it from the summer on but ya know, college are pricks and what not!!!
