6 pot bmw 3-series?

So where are all the 6 pot bmw 3-series hiding? Am looking any 2003 323 or 325 (not really interested in the 320) preferably auto - but there seems to be very little about. Anything that is out there seems to be the carbio which isn't my cup of tea! Why are there so few?

I'd assume it's because fewer were sold new. Are you looking for a saloon or coupé?

You'll have a hard job finding a 2003 323i - they stopped making them in 2000. The 320 has as much power (on paper anyway) as the 323i, don't rule one out until you drive it.

There should be a good few 325i's for sale - theres one on my site at the moment (its 01), theres also a 323i auto up there too. They're not as common as the 4 pots for the fairly obvious reasons - tax & insurance being higher, as well as some owners buying the low powered versions for the badge.

having driven the 325, I couldn't see the huge advantage over the 320 as the petrol consumption is I believe significantly higher ( and the 320 likes a sup).

The 330i I imagine is a fair bit quicker though although you'd want to be getting it very right - anyone looking at a 330 would surely be thinking M3.

fuel consumption differs very little between the the 2.2 320 and the 330, same with servicing costs

ha! that would explain that one...

Saw quiet a few 323s & 325s around at the weekend - perhaps people just don't want to sell them!

I have a 07 325i saloon and I must say that I have never seen one similar (325i saloon) around they all appear to be coupes!
