Re new road build. Torn between integrated and threadless...are threadless hard to install and are they noticeably better? Thanks

Threadless headsets require a headset-press and a bit of care to install. It's not a particularly difficult job. With an integrated headset you simply dorp the bearings into the head-tube.

There's no noticeable functional difference between an integrated and standard threadless headset - once they're in you can just forget about them. I wouldn't base a choice of frame on what type of headset it uses. If you already have the frame then you have to use whatever kind of headset it's designed for.
