Where Has That Japanese Winger Gone? You Know The One With The Try Scoring Record. Hes Really Dropped Off The Radar And You Would Think There Would Be Demand For Him In European Clubs?

I might be wrong but I've a feeling you've been playing EA Rugby 08 a bit too much.

Was he the Japanese winger in Jona Lomu rugby who could handoff?

Japan's got a fairly wealthy league, so there'd be little demand for their players to go abroad.

The standard's ever improving there though.

If I remember rightly, more adult men play rugby in Japan than in Ireland.

Japan's becoming very attractive of late for professionals of both codes due to very high salaries and a less...ahem.... 'demanding' skill level.Aussie and NZ players of both codes are a lot less likely to come here given current economic circumstances and with big salaries on offer more will make the jump... the 'image rights' loophole being closed means even less SH boys will come..Nathan Fien's the latest to pull out of a move to Wigan Warriors from the NZ warriors.

Brisbane Broncos Karmichael Hunt is switching codes to go to Japan and with guys like Eddie Jones 'advising' top Jap clubs like Suntory...expect more to follow...
