My neighbour has a 88 reg 3 series BMW convertable for sale

    3750 ONO ........

Its pretty tatty , has an Alpina badge ( no idea if it really is one ) the NCT expired in 04 .,.. to me it doesn't look like it would pass another without work to the body ( rust ) .

Am I missing something , or is this some modern classic ?

    Depends on the model.

Price could be a bit optimistic if in bad nic but you can pay quite a lot for a decent one

    I'd consider a good E30 cabriolet a classic, especially if it's a 320i/325i.

You should ask him and leave the Reg in. No one buys cars with invisible reg plates.

Before you dismiss the car or price you'd want to find out is it an actual Alpina version.
