I recently sold a leupold fx-i (4x28) and am now buying a new leupold fx-ii 6x36 but i have the option to get the fx-ii 6x 42.But what i want to know is would the fx-iii be to much for the shooting im doin .22 rabbits and other small game and some range shooting or would it be a good investment .Price is no factor as the money i made on the fx-i in ireland i can get a fx-iii in the states.

    Thanks guys.

Well if you like to watch the fleas jumping off the rabbit at 100yds...go forthe 6-42.......
It would be good for seeing if the rabbit has mixie..

All jokes a side....I had a 6-24 on my 22 for a few months...never used all the power range so i havs a 4-12 on it now and thats plenty for me......

Sory i didnt realise that the scopes were fixed power....I thought they were variable...If the 2 scopes are fixed at 6x zoom then i would go for the one with the 42mm objective lens... you will get more light and a better field of veiw from the 42 mm
