Will be heading for the Gold Coast later May/early June. Anyone know if there's any jobs for chippies or am I wasting my time. Lucky enough to have Oz citizenship and fed up with bleak future here. If I can get work back there, I'll never come back. What's the point. Anyone??

If you are willing to go to Nroth and far north Qld Id ay you have some chance. Find your self a small rural area where there is a shopping centre ( Woolworths currently rolling out big time ) and move there.

I am just wrapping up a Woolies just on the main land opposite Fraser Island. We have used a lot of local labour and there is massive shortages in these more remote areas up the coast.

Wont be a "rock n roll" life style though like GC though, but cheap easy living !
