Resolving an Ebay Neg points dispute over a payment.

A guy refused to pay me after a recent dealing, unfortunitally I closed the Paypal dispute resolution CTR because I thought this was all resolved when the guy cancelled my transaction. The Guy knows this however I have since hit him hard with Neg points and a very nasty comment leaving him 64% positive on a 5 year account.

He was back on to me almost immediatly pleeding me to remove the points first before he pays up. I won't fall for him again, it now looks like a stalemate situation. I wont trust him with giving me the cash and he wont trust me with removing the points.

I cannot go back to the Paypal dispute Ctr as once a dispute is closed it cannot be opened, is there any another way that an Ebay third party can deal with this situation? Ie accept payment from him in lue of resolving the points under a mutual agreement?

you can get him to send the money to me ! :)

Is it alot of money ? if its not you could nearly tell him that the only way you will remove your comments is by him paying you the cash that you are owed. an ultimatium but he would be the one to lose out (if its not that much cash)

Check out http://resolutioncentre.ebay.ie/ too I have never used it but know of it.

I cannot use the link because I closed the UPI case.

Its 100 quid sterling, I was only mentioning this dispute a fortnight ago.

I have enough email correspondence with him through the official channels and evidence to have this guys account shut down however I will hold off until I get paid.

Complicated story and I wish you luck! What was the sellers feedback rating before you left your negative feedback? If it is now only 64% positive now it can't have been very good when you made your purchase? It is high time that eBay banned traders/buyers with feedback rating below 98%. :)

Its an unusual but unfortunate case for him. he had 100% until I placed the Neg point. Ebay seem to base the points system over a 12 months period of trading, He didn't trade much, only 4 sales in 12 months (One point withdrawn) however looking back it will take about 4 years for my comment & points to disappear off his leading page. He had two cases of mutual agreements of neg points removed. He thought that he could give me them but cant now since they changed the rules.

Just reading tonight, you cannot any longer remove points since they changed this ruling, I haven't told him that :) I will as soon as he pays up. No one will deal with this guy for the foreseeable future. Either way this guy will go down.
