MY hp laptop paviion dv6000 is overheating, cpu temp 50 degrees, gpu average temp 120 when the gpu reaches 130degrees it shuts down,i think the fan is not working, so i took out all the screws except 1,but i cannot raise,or move the keyboard more than a few mm.I HAVE the full repair manual, with precise dissasembly instructions,it says take out 4 screws underneath,to release keyboard .,i did this, i cant remove the lower right end screw ,cos threads are worn, nonexistant ,but that screw has nothing to do with the keyboard.anyone here have any tips,re removal of keyboard or general disassembly.I think the power to the fan is not plugged in,the fan never comes on.I,VE taken out all the screws except the one thats worn out.HW MONITOR program says fan speed is zero.IF I cant reach the fan ,i,ll have to eave it in to a pc repair center.

    Hi Gamer
Looking at the Service manual of your laptop model, I believe you have completed step 5.3 and 5.10. You have removed the four screws from below and the three screws form the switch cover. As you would have noticed that once all those screws are removed the keyboard is held in place with the small notches only as above, so there is a good chance your keyboard should slide out towards the screen it might just be sticking to the base. But just be aware not to lift the keyboard as shown in the manual but only lift it about a centimetre or so and slide towards the screen

    Cheers
