I was gonna see if I could rent a designer handbag for Mrs Carrawaystick as we've a couple of wedings coming up next Month. Any one tried? I can only find US or british sites, they say they don't rent outside their respective countries...

I think you should buy her the bag - prob cost less than the price of renting it for all the weddings.

Also the conversation in the house thats day "I got you this bag you can use to look pretty but Ive to take it back when you're done"

Its giving then just taking it away!!

I'd very much doubt buying would be cheaper than renting for 3 weeks...
anyway this way she can change the bag to suit her outfits....

anyone else any experience with this system?

OMG, I saw this idea for the first time in the Sex and the City movie and I fell in love with the idea. I think its a brill idea. Not got any experience of it myself but I would love having a designer bag at a wedding to compliment my outfit. No one needs to know its not actually mine!!

If you shop around there are plenty of gorgeous bags out there for <€100 which is probably what it would cost you to rent it! Costelloe and Costelloe have some lovely ones and TK Maxx have an amazing selection at brilliant prices.

The only Irish company that I saw was on Dragons Den, called Bags of fashion.

Don't know if they are up and running
