I play Bass and i need a band!!

i left a band due to musical differences a couple of months back and i've been waiting around to see what acts i can find that are looking for a bass player.

Im 26, living in south dublin, have a car and playing music since i was 13. I sing, play guitar, bass and drums, but i like playing bass most. I've developed my own tone, which i think fits nicely in with most types of music.

Im looking to join a band that wants to gig to make music for the masses(in our own way), but isnt hellbent on being the next big thing..

I love all kinds of music, except for emo/screeching teenie bopper crap that you would have heard on guitar hero or something like that. No van halen wanna-be's please!

i love queens of the stone age, eagles of death metal, death from above 1979, haunts, biffy clyro. Most indy alternative stuff sounds good to me also..i like interpol, white lies, joy division..even bon iver. just as long as you wanna make good thought out music and put some effort into making it the best it can be. I wanna rock out and have some fun playing music with like minded people. Acoustic stuff would be cool too. I have a whole room of instruments waiting to be played.

If you want to hear some of my recorded work i have a load of stuff to send/link to, just send a pm! but Quid pro quo! I would need to hear your work also. This post may come across as being very picky, but take my word, i am a very laid back person, i just want to make sure that if i join a band i have all my cards on the table.

Whats up man, im looking for a bass/singer to complete my band, where a rock band with our own material, where from the southside and rehearse just off the nangor road, we practise a lot of covers as well as write our own stuff, let me know if your interested!

Im not interested in doing a cover unless it would be a once off at a gig or something. Can you link me some of your material?

I play in a band based in Clontarf. We are currently looking for a bass player cos due to work commitments we have lost our original guy. Check out our myspace at www.myspace.com/pharaohtrade. We play our own songs and are currently halfway through recording and have been gigging regularly around Dublin for the last 2 years. The songs on our myspace aren't a great reflection of the sound of the band so if you want to hear more send me your email and I can drop you some songs!

Hey, your influences sounds good: I was just at the EODM gig in the Academy a few wks ago

We've just lost our singer/bass player due to musical differences and are looking to keep cracking on and getting sorted for some fun gigs (without taking it too seriously). Would you be interested in singing too?

We're also based in Central/South Dublin & have a few rough demos recorded so we can do a sample swap. I suppose we're kind of Foo Fighters-y, maybe a bit Incubus-y. See what you think.
