    Hi all,

Have to send a load of data to a family member and would have to waste a day burning off DVD's. I have a small portable 160GB USB HD and was wondering would it be ok to send this through An Post using registered mail.

Would a HD get wiped going through the mail process?

    Regards,
    h.a

na think it should be fine

just pack it really well, so it won't experience any sharp knocks

Agree with the good packing comment, don't rely on a jiffy bag to protect it. Use an boatload of bubble wrap if you don't have the original packaging the Hard Drive came in
