I have very little knowledge of satalite systems eg foretec star

I have satalite system pointing at astra 2a ( cheap lidl system)

I have bbc1 channels, some others etc and good picture,

but I used to have utv/itv and all the variations but now i cannot see them for last 4 months , have they been taken off this satalite ? do i need to retune and if you could say how to I would be pleased

sounds like you may need to rescan. It should be in the settings/system menu.

Are you in Ireland? If you are and you get BBC you should get everything else.

There are 4 satellites at 28 East (Astra 2A, 2B, 2D, Eurobird 1) but they appear as one on your receiver. If you scan a transponder you should get the channels, UTV is on 10906V on 2D. This is he Lyngsat link and you will see that all footprints cover Ireland.

Howdy, In my honest opinion yes 28E is the best for english stations. Where in the Midlands are you?
