Seems like a great idea, pity its a u.k site, an irish one would be great, even an irish zopa.co.uk would be good

All very vague, website is poor and really lacking pertinent information. Approach is more loan shark than business angel. For a money lending deal, it has little or no refs to Financial Regulation, prevailing interest rates charged, size of loans available etc. It's also a UK based operation.

Why would this be different to loan sharks?

It's not going to help start-ups anyway. Equity financing from a business angel is the best way to go.

There are websites in the Irish Marketplace that help SMEs to seek funding. What we find is that there are quite a number of private investors who have the capital reserves, and are willing to fund opportunities either as passive or active investors, but who are outside the usual Venture Capital and Large Investment Fund Groups.
