Ok i have vista and i want to get on me other computer through my network but every time i do it ask me for a username and pass which i dont know. and to my knowlege never set one. any help much appericated :D

its the username and password for the logged in user on the other computer

try creating an administrator user with password on the other machine in control panel-> users

or if you have an existing user with no password you can set a password

Fire up the Network and Sharing Centre on the other PC and disable 'password-protected sharing'.
