If you intend to retrofit your energy system utilizing funds approved by a grant aid scheme like Home Energy Saving Scheme (HES), this is a must any way. (The scheme will subsidize the cost of the two BER certificates ie. one before and one after the retrofit).
Home energy efficiency is every ones responsibility. A better performance there will certainly benefit you, your neighbors, the country and also the world at large.
