Most crazy-@ss paranoid thing you ever did?

Well i cant sleep tonight, I got a real bad phobia of someone intruding into my house and can never sleep properly, I crouched completely still in my upstairs landing peeking at my front door with scissors (Extra sharp:D) and scalpel in hand listening to the street.

Anyone else do anything crazy?(Yes I know:rolleyes:)

Nah im not high, just been playing way too much metal gear solid these days and everything i do now involves me checking if the coast is clear first.

Get a life you pansey, do you know how many OAP's are living on their own and a much softer target then you (on paper). Although, if any brave soul tried to break into my grannies in Pearse st. they'd think hell had been unleashed on them.

My housemate and I last year had a night where we both thought there was someone in the house who wandered around downstairs in high heels and then came upstairs and knocked on a door and then left again..... We didn't realise til the next day we both had the same experience. Had my phone in my hand with an emergency number ready to press call and if they came near my room I was ready to pounce.

Turns out it was our neighbour running around in heels at 3am after a heavy wednesday night session!

This one time I was really paranoid that something was going on between my friend and my girlfriend. It really got to me that I was being so paranoid about two of my favourite people.

Turns out I was right.

Now they're not my favourite people.

So to answer your question: I'm not paranoid, everyone else IS plotting against me.

After I left school I went through a paranoid phase cos I was on the dole (80s Recession and all) and I used to keep every bus ticket, shop reciept, letter, I acquired as proof of where I'd been and what I'd done etc for the dole office (we'd a right anti-christ working in ours who wouldn't let you sign on if you were 30 seconds late for your signing on time, because you'd probably been working - "um there was a queue out the door when I got here" was unacceptable) so anyways I developed this paranoia about proving my whereabouts.

I did eventually throw them all out, I had five folders full of them, all divided with them divider things by year

I still occasionally have a "flashback" and start keeping reciepts, which worked well in my favour recently, I'd had my purse stolen/lost two years ago with my Dunnes card in it. I got a replacement and it was never validated, I finally found a form on the Dunnes site for validating your card, and they wanted the number off my old card, "which you can find on a receipt". Well a couple of years ago I'd been in one of my 'phases' and kept a load of receipts and had one with my old number on. Card validated and any points from old card carried over.

Got my vouchers the other day ... over €400 worth of them

When I was about 8 I think my mother went into town with my brother and left me alone. I was scared sh*tless, imagining all sorts. I hid behind the sofa the whole time she was away. Dunno why she didn't take me with her....:(. She did bring me back a packet of fruit pastilles though.
Our bathroom was at the end of the hall facing the front door. I used to plug the keyhole with toilet roll in case someone was peeping in:o.
