Jing Gong MP5 silencer question

Hey, I have the Jing Gong MP5J gun -- http://greenstrikes.pt/images/jg_mp5j.jpg

Just wondering if the silencer from the silenced jing gong is compatible with the one I have -- http://www.crw-airsoft.com/ekmps/shops/crwuk/images/jg_mp5_sd6%5Bekm%5D694x300%5Bekm%5D.jpg

Like are you able to just take off the flash hider and screw on the silencer??
    Thanks...

You could not just screw on the silencer from an MP5 SD series gun. The silencer is designed for the SD series. You might be able with a new handguard and barrel but probably not. If you want it silenced, you can get an adapter for putting normal silencers on.

Ye dont need an adaptor, the mp5 j has a threaded barrel.

Ye my mp5 has a little thing you can screw off and then it looks like something else could be screwed on.. Just wondering if the silencer is screw on?? Cause if it is it'd probaly work..

The silencer from the JG MP5 SD series is particular to the SD series only. You cannot screw it on to any other MP5 as it does not have a thread. It is more of a slot and twist operation.

You should be able to get a screw on one from somewhere like Eirsoft or elsewhere pretty easily I would say but the SD series silencer will definitely not fit.

So would it clip on the same way the little plastic flash hider I currently have does???

the silencer on the mp5 sd doesnt screw on, its a kind of a bayonet (like bayonet bulbs) and connects to a metal sight which fits the hand grip..
By the way if you thinking of changing the hand grip on the sd im looking for a replacement one....cheers

I don't have the sd one, I have the mp5j... Does anyone have a link for a silencer that would work, I can only find replacements for the sd mp5..

    i seen one on uncompany

i think its a kings armour, if you search for mp5 it should come up
there were two types of screw in types. clockwise and anti-clockwise ($25)

i was going to get one for a Cyma MP5

That's because you're searching for "MP5 silencer" I'll wager. MP5-"J" types have a removable plastic flash hider. Under that is the muzzle, the end of which has a knurled collar. Screw it off to reveal a bog standard 14mm CCW threading which will accept 95% of silencers and flash hiders. Take your pick, you can use just about anything you want. Personally, I recommend the Madbull Gemtech silencers because they actually make a difference to your sound, rather than just looking good.

Hey, yeh that's exactly wats it like.. On mine the threads work that you screw it clockwise to loosen it, is that right?? I don't want to spend a lot on a silencer, it's really just how I'd like the mp5 to look. Think I saw one on eirsoft, it's down as a replacement for the sd mp5, so would that work for me??

CCW stands for counter-clockwise. The threads are reversed so it's left to tighten rather than loosen.

Any silencer you see that say "MP5 SD" will not work. Different piece of machinery altogether. You can use any silencer which has a 14mm CCW thread (it'll state that in the item description on any site that does silencers). The MP5 doesn't have a specific silencer in airsoft, so you can pick whatever type you want with that thread size.
