Hi everybody I have a 99 Citroen Saxo and like most people who make these threads I disconnected the battery and now I need the radio code, Citroen dealer in Galway wouldn't budge on €50 so I definitely wont be doing that, dont suppose anyone has access to a database on here? I dont mind paying a few quid if anyone knows any radio code website that actually works, the ones Google throws up look like pure spam and they're not getting my credit card details. Thanks.

Serial Number of the radio (its the original factory one):

    GR0971W6832983

Have a look in the service book and handbook, it's often written somewhere in there. Failing that, have you tried Citroen Ireland?

if you take out the radio theres usually a sticker with the code.

Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of having a code?

Any Citroën dealer will be able to get the radio code for you. You will need your chassis number and you may be asked for proof of ownership. Some but not all dealers charge for this.

Its not written in any of the books anywhere and its not on the radio either, Ill give Citroen Ireland a try I suppose, like I said I already tried the Galway dealership and it was €50, suppose Ill try ringing around all of them on Tuesday, might get someone to give it to me. Theres no online database for this sort of thing that I might have missed is there?

I bought a Xantia a few years ago and needed the radio code for it, I just rang the original supplying Citroën dealer in Bray (from the stamp in the service book) and they gave me the code FOC off the car registration number.

Citroen (obviously) have such a database but I'd imagine it's only available to importers and dealers.

Surprised they've managed to keep it under wraps for so many years though, it only takes one disgruntled employee with a USB keyring on his last day :P

I googled a bit when I needed a code for my Xantia Came across a forum for people with these issues. Posted the numbers from the sticker on the radio and within an hour a guy got back to me with the code.

    Never bookmarked the site though.:)
