Right so the countdown begins and the forum will know doubt be awash with petty insults and the like. But how about for once we just step back and put this in perspective. Both teams are representing Irish rugby here and have done a fantastic job in their campaign, they have faced criticism and the like and still managed to get this far. To me it's a brilliant achievement considering where Irish rugby was not so long ago. So maybe just maybe that we can put away the name calling, the petty insults and the im better then you attitude and say congrats to both teams do this country proud and give us a game to remember!

a 3-0 win to Munster would do me, don't care about the quality or Leinster for that matter

Hope to jebus it doesn't turn into another p1ss1n contest like the last time. I love the banter but I'll stay away from here and other forums if it turns into what happened the last time. I'll save my energy for the match.

    C'MON LEINSTER

While naturally I'll want nothing more than a Leinster win, should the unthinkable happen and Munster win I'd still support them in the final.

Having an Irish team guaranteed to be in the final is fantastic for Irish rugby.

The real losers here are the mods who are going to have to put up with an awful lot!

I propose people try and not turn it into a ****fight and save the battle for the pitch.

Not really. I don't even have a problem being told Leinster are s**te as long as it's supported with some intelligent rugby debate. A bit of rivalry and slagging is fine from real supporters. Retarded WUM's who know nothing about rugby and who come on here with 1 sentence heckles should be permenantly banned, no questions asked. Works for me but it's up to the mods of course.

I don't care which team you support, real Irish rugby supporters should be incredibly proud that their small country has produced two of the four best rugby sides in Europe.

At the end of the day, I hope Leinster win the HC this year. I'll be happy if Munster do it. For me though, it's all about another Grand Slam next year. :pac:

Would these be the same real supporters that believe their team arent committed enough after putting their bodies on the line for 80 minutes?

That glory day in Cardiff when we finally won the grand slam, now the current Magners league champions will meet the European champions at croke park, The british and irish lions captain will be playing that day. We live in golden times, may the best side win.

I'm Leinster raised with munster blood. I'll be cheering on Leinster in the semis, but whoever wins, I'll be cheering them on in the final, as would I for Connaught or Ulster were they in the finals.

We should be happy to see any Irish team do well.

No, I'm talking about real supporters who know about rugby, who enjoy it and see past petty football-like rivalries and enjoy good play. If you want to have a go at me because of my criticism of aspects of Leinster's play today then do it on the approriate thread and stop following me around like a pest. Thanks. :)

Im from dublin, when it comes to Magners League i just wanna see a good game and im not really bothered who wins but this time around, Id love to see Leinster do it. Let Munster have the Magners League this year. BOD needs a H Cup medal!! I doubt Leinster can overcome Munster thou.

Anybody able to tell me what time ticketmaster are selling tickets from? BOD to top of a fine year hopefully

I know what your saying here but come on, rivalries is what makes any sport spectacular. It's the whole notion of competition at its best. It's what creates a great atmosphere that surrounds a big game. This is Leinster Vs Munster to see who is crowned Ireland champs and likely European champs for that matter. You should support the team you love.

Thou like I said, when it comes to magners league i usually dont have any preference but the stakes are higher in this match. Its the H Cup semi-final!

They just said on RTE that there would be 50/50 support there. Im an optimistic Leinster fan but still cant see it being any better than 65 v 35. Most people in Leinster support munster as it is

hope its a really really good game!! they've done us proud so far and considering they way they were only a few months they've done great!!!

Two great displays today, great year for Irish rugby.

Whoever wins the decider in Croker will travel to Edinburgh as favorites.

As an aside, does anyone know if the sell out in Croker sets a new crowd record for HEC semis? The ERC are laughing all the way to the bank.

in the interest of the OP's theme, and the gutsy performance at the Stoop, I'm not going to say Gwan Munster!

BTW it's my first time using ticketmaster, Hubby usually does but after Munster match celebrations and the Leinster/HQ match in the pub he's too drunk tired to do much.

Obviously I'm gunning for a Munster win but it's going to be great to go to Edinburgh and support an Irish team whatever the outcome. I'm delighted to see that it's a Munster/Leinster Semi Final (for one it means that fans aren't travelling abroad and so will be spending money to help our economy :D:D) It should be a fantastic game and hopefully there'll be no nastiness between the supporters :D

Munster to win this I think. Will be a tough old game, but Contepomi will probably have another brain fart.

I also expect them to snaffle the lions share of the tickets too. They are past masters at it.

Well done Leinster, a great win yesterday. I'm hoping for a Munster win (two in a row mainly) and to be the European club with as many wins as Leicester & Toulouse - but I'll certainly behind Leinster all the way if they do win the semi - would love for BOD & Darce to win at least one Heineken Cup before they retire (next year though).

Talking about true rugby fans, I was speaking to more than a few Ospreys fans yesterday and nearly all of them said how proud they were that three of the four teams left in the HC were from the CL.
It is a great reflection on our league.

With the upcoming match , I feel Leinster have it all to do, they can't match Munster up front and until they do they don't have much hope.

I hope that both teams can pick their strongest 22. It will be and is a great time for Irish rugby and we should thank our lucky stars that we are around to witness what has been a great couple of years.

No matter what happens in May, Irish Rugby will be the winner.

To be honest, I think they more than matched them up front (remember Cian Healy's performance?), its the half back situation and general cohesion that tips it in Munster's favour.

Well, I say "tips" like it was a tight game last week :pac:

I think Munster are strong favourites for the game, and rightly so.

However, I don't think the Ospreys game has done them any favours at all. It was way easier in just about every way than any HEC QF should be. Ospreys were absolutely rubbish and offered nothing that could have troubled Munster. Leinster on the other hand had an absolute battle and that will have a hardening effect on them. If Contepomi shows up (which he very possibly won't) then Leinster have a chance. I'm actually not that worried about the pack, they weren't bossed in TP last weekend and they won't be bossed in 3 weeks.
