I'm Dublin reared, but wonder have Leinster the attitude and bottle to overcome the red mist of Munster - every time the semis arrive , something happens to the men in blue - maybe this year will be different

    Oh dear. :P

Let's get one thing clear, there is no team less likely to believe the bullshít about Munster than Leinster. Munster are one of the strongest rugby teams at club level. They are not supermen, they are not old-school heroes, pulling on 'the red jersey' does not make men of them.

They're a very good team, as they showed today. Last season, Leinster beat Munster a couple of times. The performance of the Leinster forwards last week who dominated for a large chunk of the game was immense.

Munster are favourites for this match, undoubtedly, but Leinster are a very good team, who have one of the best records against Munster of any team. So of course they can do it.

Enough of the 'bottle' bulls**t. The word is 'commitment'. Based on what I saw today, Leinster don't have the commitment to beat Munster. Elsom made a break up the sideline today and the entire Leinster squad (bar Elsom) stopped running. He had zero support. Absolutely appalling commitment.

At any rate, the question should be "Are Leinster good enough to beat Munster?". The answer, in my opinion as a Leinster fan, is 'no' sadly. Commitment aside, Munster are a much better team player for player. They showed it today. I think of all the teams left in the competition, Leinster will give Munster their biggest test. I just think that Munster have too much quality for Leinster.

Regardless though, it'll be a great day out.

Ye no commitment:rolleyes:, sure the defensive stand was just for the ladies was it? Ridiculous coming from a 'Leinster fan', i expect that kind of bs from the media but from our fans:eek: If Contepomi finally has a solid game in the big game vs Munster and slots a couple of goals we have a chance. Munster a just outstanding atm though, really really impressive, AJ is right Munster aren't superman or popeye running on spinage they are a great great tea, the best club in world rugby imo.

I actually also take issue with the man for man argument. Yes they are a better team but individually we have the quality in positions over them imo.

The defence was fantastic, you're absolutely right about that. As a Leinster fan (no need for the sarcastic quotes thanks, I rarely miss an attendence) I'm perfectly entitled to criticise what I see as a lack of commitment going forward. There was a lot of it today. Not chasing up kicks, support was lacking in so many areas of play. There were some great aspects to Leinster's play but I'm not the kind of fan who's too much of a blinkered idiot not to spot their weaknesses. I invest too much of my time in them to blindly lick their arses. Sorry. :o

I would agree. I would elaborate by saying if Leinster play exceptionally well and Munster have a bad day at the office, we can beat them. If both sides play to their full strengths though, we won't win.

Yeah, I didn't actually mean that now that I think about it! Certainly not that every one of Munster's first XV are better than ours. Overall though, they are. The attitude will be the difference though.

I've been supporting Leinster a long time. I'm a season ticket holder, fan club member, attend their charity events, spend a lot of money on merchandaise. As such, I'm entitled to be critical of their weaknesses. Have you ever even been to a Leinster match>

You do that. I'll be watching the rugby on the pitch.

if you're taking about the one were he stole the ball in their lineout, i think he robbed it and was off up the pitch before anyone knew what happened, and remember the people who would have seen it first where the front row and mal o kelly, not exactly speedsters themselves.

wasnt the fella who did catch him ugo moyne who is a speedster

i thought leinster played well today, excellently in defence, still ned to iron out a few things in attack though
