Do we have giant sea-millipedes?

    I'm up North, so my internet access is scetchy at best, so I might not get back to this today.

    We're near the sea, and while walking along I saw these big, long black things, with hundreds of tiny legs, in the water. It would be long enough to wrap around my wrist, and looked like an oversized milipede.
    Anyone know what they are?
