Qualifying on this week are your guys ready out there !!?

Its seems headford or Tullamore will be favours to take the title
but there is a strong European championship winning side from rosslare

Headford have a strong team with a lot of good finishes in the youths this
    year they will be strong

Headford have the lowest handicaps in this years competition so this
    showed be an advantage

    Tullamore will be favours who
have a unbelievable youth system the best in Ireland with
2 under 15 titles from the last 3 appearances in the final

and being in 3 fred daly finals out of the last 4 shows that the
talent lies in the midlands with the likes of Shane Lowery

If there is any other teams which fancy themselves post a reply

You're only talking about Leinster, yea?

I'd have to say that we (Charleville) have a mighty chance at winning the all Ireland this year. We got to the final last year only to be beaten by Rosslare. Sligo will be there again. AFAIK, Rosslare have a few players missing from last year..I can think of 3 of them in my head right now that were starting.

singles stroke play with 7 on a team best 5 scores to count

    That's only in Leinster.

In the other provinces it's singles matchplay with 7 players. Lowest plays againt lowest etc.

We won our first round on Saturday against Limerick Co. 5.5 - 1.5

Im sure ye have a decent chance at winning Munster, but from what I heard ye weren't exactly amazing against Limerick Co..........Good Luck anyway:)

Impressive alright - but probably also worth mentioning that the qualifying was in Naas!

Aren't handicaps in place to some extent in the Fred Daly? I think I was on the team that won it a few years ago (Westmanstown) and was nearly sure handicaps were in place, at least partially.

Then again I could be completely wrong and thinking of another competition altogether.

Waterford Castle (us) beat West Waterford today in Youghal. It was the munster east region final. Anyone know who won the munster west? or who is in the final of it?

i hear waterford castle are the team to beat in munster.Talking to a friend of mine from west waterford apparently they were unbeatable agenist w.waterford who won the junior foursomes outright the last two years and still have a v.strong team. Also they have an american who apparently played off -1 in american and handicap did not transfer over and is playing off 8 now...Definitly favorites to come out of munster id say!

I play in Waterford Castle, our Juniors have a great team/panel this year and hopefully will do very well. The story of the American is incorrect though, well the handicap aspect of it anyway, the lad lives and goes to school here for years, so he did'nt have that US handicap quoted.

Haha I believe I'm the American your talking about. I play off 9 at the moment. The lowest I have ever been is 8. Off 8.7 to be exact. I only wish I was playing off +1:o
