fitness dis learning

    hi has anyone done a distance learning fitness course. would like to try it but not sure what they are like. was looking at kilorys collage anyone any ideas?

    I dont know anything about that particular course but if you are intending working in the area then distance learning will be useless.

    thanks for that .. do you know any courses then that would be good? and preferable not too expensive and part - time. i know i ask a lot.. thanks in advance

    If you want to work as a fitness/gym instructor you will have to get either of the following qualifications:
    National Qualification in Exercise and Health Fitness (www.ntc.ie)
    National Cert/Diploma in Exercise and Fitness (www.ncefinfo.com)
    ITEC Diploma in Gym Instruction (dont in lots of venues)

    They range in price. You can do all of these part time.

    Or you could look into PLC type courses, they would run as 1/2/ year fulltime (4-5 days per week) courses, but you would only have to pay a small registration fee and exam fees.
