I installed a new version of MS Messenger which for some reason associated itself with Mozilla Firefox. Ie when I clicked on messenger it opened my hotmail inbox with Firefox.

Firefox kept hanging so I uninstalled it. But now when I click on messenger hotmail will not open in Internet explorer.

Tried to see if I could change the browser in the settings but cannot find anything

    Any Ideas?
    TIA

dunno about that, I use Firefox anyways, but when I recently installed the newest MSN messenger Yahoo IM was wiped off

If you are only using IE and you have uninstalled Firefox, then go to:

Start > Settings > Control Panel > Internet Options

On the Programs tab look for:

Let me know if Internet Explorer is not the default browser.

Tick the box beside it and Apply and OK your way back out. Restart your computer to give it a chance to apply the settings properly to everything and give that a shot. Should hopefully have fixed the problem.
