Anyone know if any shops in the city stock cycling caps?

Have looked in a few before with no luck so far.

The Cycle Super Store Tallaght stocked them last year as I got a few there.

Is there any particular advabtage to wearing cycling specific caps? Heat loss? Visibilty? Anything else?

I ask because I'm waiting on delivery of one from England, which has "protection" in it. I'm skeptic, but it's better than nothing! The father says they've passed Health+Safety to be where they are (UK industrial supplier).

I've heard alot about the d30 hats, but they're kinda pricey, and are hard to get hold of!

I just wear one under my helmet to keep the sun off my face. Regurlarhats are too bulky to wear under a helmet imo.

They both had them but only about 2/3 different caps when I was there Friday / Saturday

I wear them during the warmer weather for 3 reasons.

    1. They help keep sweat out of my eyes.
    2. They keep flies, wasps etc off my shaved head (I've been stung by a wasp that flew into my helmet and I hate the feeling of a fly walking around on my head while I'm cycling), those with hair may not have this problem.
    3. To prevent my shaved head getting a nice striped sunburn pattern.

Would y'all be interested in plain cycling caps?
I was thinking of making some and just want to see what sort of interest there is.

I guess it would depend on price and quality
