Anyone catch the premiere?

Had no idea what to expect, but its brilliant in places. Theres a bit of Pythonesque humour involved which really sells it. Kind of a pisstake on any of those fantasy shows like Xena or Hercules or Legend of the Seeker. Something to do with The Golden One or something.

"You are the Golden One!"

"I'm the what?"

"It's like calling you The Chosen one, but less of a cliche."

Matt Lucas (Little Britain) is the villain, and he and the scenes he must clearly direct, are brilliant.

My favorite sketch in the premiere involves him raiding a village in taking hostages, threatening to kill one every minute until Krod shows himself.

"How do you mean to accurately measure time by the minute?" One villager argues "Even our most advanced sundials are approximate at best. And what about this term villager? How does that work, because I'm not from this village.."

If you can find it, give it a look. Not to mention the sword itself uses actual fire and not CGI crap, which helps

fairly decent in parts alright, will give it a chance a hopefully it will improve.

This show is starting on BBC2 tomorrow night at 9pm. Im surprised that it has gotten such a good slot. I was convinced they would shoehorn it in at tea time. Its very funny though I reckon people will either love it or hate it.
