Sorry I'm not completely up-to-date with all the current taxes and charges. Is there PAYE, an income levy, health levy and PRSI? Can anyone explain briefly what the rates for each are at the moment? I'm trying to work out how much net one would get from a gross salary of 21,500 euro. Cheers.

Just use one of the tax calculators to see how the budget will affect you there is one on http://www.pwc.com/ie/budget2009/calculator.html
You just put in your income and any tax benefits you have and it will tell you how much you will get.
