The accident happened early yesterday morning as Joe was dropping back some library books before work.

He was reaching into the boot of his car when a female driver reversed into the space behind him but went too far.

The main impact was on Joe's leg which was badly crushed.

"She was parking. I didn't see her at all," Joe said.

"My leg went the wrong way. I knew it was a bad, bad break," he added.

The RTE presenter fell to the ground in agony following the impact.

"I was just lying there on the street," he said.

However, despite the pain, the popular DJ says he was still concerned about work.

    WORK

"The first thing I did while lying there on the ground was to ring work and tell them I wouldn't be in," he said.

Luckily for Joe a doctor was close by and immediately administered pain relief

    poor joe

    women drivers eh

"Luckily a doctor was nearby and administered pain relief"

Did he just happen to have a few morphine capsules or something?

There is a doc's surgery across the road from where it happened and if rumours are to be true then the doc in question would have morphine in his pocket. Dublin's own DR HOUSE.
