Yeah, he was a great player and composer. Pity he had to leave us so soon. Another great pianist and composer who died young was Don Grolnick.

I have his solo piano cd oracle's destiny and another one where he plays with Shorter and Jim Hall and both are fantastic. His technique was phenomenal, sometimes too good (as in flashy) but he was always capable for playing very lyrically. Really great musician.
If you like him i suggest you look into some of keith jarrett's playing too as he's always reminded me of him.
