Does anyone know if there are any jobs going for chemistry students for the summer?

I'm in 3rd year Chemistry & Forensics and can't seem to find much going. I just want the experience so I don't care about getting paid or not. I'd be more interested in getting experience in forensics. Unfortunately the state lab aren't taking anyone.

Any have any idea's of places that may be hiring? Even in the UK? Thanks.

For chemistry places it's getting late now to be applying but don't let that stop you.

If you want a list of Chemical companies log on to www.idaireland.com and do a company search for "Chemical" sector to get a general list of places.

I'd say think long term and even if there are no summer jobs going try to get some unpaid experience for when you graduate.

My housemate is doing forensics and I know that he worked in the Marine Institute last summer when he was in 3rd yr. Tbh the deadline has prob passed/there is now a recruitment freeze in the Public Service so I'd say use this summer to get as much experience as possible-unpaid if needs be-just to get you on better footing for when you graduate.

    Best of luck. :)
