Anyone any idea where I'd get leather boot covers for the handbrake & gearstick for a VW New Beetle in Ireland or the UK?

There are a few on ebay, but they're mainly from Germany and the postage is silly money.

These are the kinda things I'm after. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it. Ta.

The gear gaiter comes as one part with the knob,so you would have to buy the whole thing, not as expensive as you might think from a dealer or ebay.de.

The leather handbrake gaiter you could get out of a higher spec crashed beetle or again as above the handbrake gaiter should be no more than 50 euro,i got an R32 handbrake gaiter for nearly half that.

Edit there are people on eBay selling after market gaiters like the one in the pic above but i always found the quality and fit to be utter crap.

    Ta Tossy.

The gear gaiter Im replacing is an aftermarket one, (the original grey one is long gone) and to be honest the fit & quality were quite good, it's just that it's supposed to be deep blue (as in the handbrake pic) but has faded to a washed out baby blue colour after so many years in the sun.

I didn't realise VW did official handbrake gaiters. Mine came bald and I was simply looking for something to match the gearshift one.

Yeah VW would do them if the car came with a leather interior it should have a leather hand brake gaiter to match,i'm not sure how the beetle is set up but its a case of removing the old rubber one and slipping the leather one on.
