Spiderman vs superman vs rambo

As a well professed fan of Rambo and Steven Seagal films, I'm often regarded as kinda stupid. People laugh at me "wha, u tink there good films?!?!?!". I often wonder, do people watch the same films as me??

    Consider scenario 1:
Guy gets bitten by spider, can shoot webs from his hands and defeats his enemy, film over

    Consider scenario 2:
Guy gets trained by the army, can shoot everything accurately with a gun, film over

    Consider scenario 3:
Guy lands on earth with super powers can fly and shoot lasers from his eyes, film over

    Consider scenario 4:
Guy learns martial arts, can kill people by touching them, film over

So, my question is; why is scenario 1 & 3 considered classic films and scenario 2 & 4 considered rubbish? Why are Rambo and Steve considered laughable and superman and Spiderman serious film making? All bring me happiness, especially scenario 2 & 4 (my fav). Opinions please

By the way, I’m watching Rambo 4, one of the best films ever.

They're not. It depends on the film. A film with Bruce Lee can have the same scenario as one with Michael Dudikoff and be worlds apart in terms of quality. Likewise, something like the Fantastic Four can be an amazing piece of dung, while Hellboy is terrific.

There are great films in any of the genres you've described, and there are also complete turkeys.

Rambo would take out spiderman with a few well placed arrows and maybe some mingun fire followed by some decapitation, then assuming he has a cryptonite bazooka, Rambo wins hands down.

    oh wait... nvm
