I'm goin with a small accum on
    Wolves to beat Southampton (8/15)
Drogheda and Galway to draw (21/10)
    Inter to beat Palermo (4/11)
Stoke and Newcastle to draw (11/5)
    Works out at nearly 20/1

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Sadly I can't trust Wolves to put away the second worst club in th Championship! (I'm a fan btw).

    Looking at the following

Barca v Recreativo Huelva - Barca to nil
Reading v Sheffield Utd draw no bet (subject to team news)
Real Madrid v Real Valladolid -1
    Sevilla v Getafe
    Charlton v Brum

    25/1

0.5 pt Acc - Derry, Bohs, UCD +1, and overs in the Kildare games @ 6/1ish with Bet 365.

1 pt Single - Overs in the Kildare game @ 2.13 (average) on Betfair. These two played in last season's play off and the games finished 2-2 and 3-0. Kildare have really gone to the dawgs and Mervue are no great shakes so hopefully they both go out on the attack from the start.

    2. pt Single - Less than 10 corners in the Shels game @ 10/11 with Bet 365. This will be a very conservative game, am expecting less than 2.5 goals but there's no value in that market so I'll opt with the corner count.

Here's my ridiculous longshot bet for the weekend.....

    -Barcelona/Barcelona Halftime/Fulltime
    -Valencia to beat Sporting Gijon
    -Arsenal/Arsenal Halftime/Fulltime
-James Beattie to score first (Stoke vs Newcastle)
    -Tottenham to beat West Ham
-Portsmouth (-1) to beat West Brom
-Man United vs Sunderland (Over 2.5 goals)
    -Chelsea (-1) to beat Newcastle

Accumulator pays just under 1000/1 on PP. Pretty much a sure thing really!

Portsmouth look pretty certain against WBA at 1.77(Betfair)
also Arsenal away to Wigan is a decent price, 1.79(Betfair)

I fancy Coventry to beat Plymouth away too at 3.45(Betfair)

Not looking like a good week at all for anyone. Think Portsmouth win was involved in almost all my bets

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Indeed, Brum fail to build on good win earlier in week.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,134 ✭✭✭x in the city

Even Forest won that acc that Hoff screwed up, just had a few reliables left like real and barca to a nice 4 figure sum..

Stinking last night but at least the overs came up. So those proceeds are going on Bohs tonight.

    2pts Bohs win @ 1.67

1pt on Jayo Byrne to score and Bohs to win @ 12/5

Bohs won 3-0 and Byrne got himself on the goal sheet in the process

Just spotted a bit of value with Powers for the winner of the EA Sports Cup (the League Cup). UCD @ 50/1 is value. Considering they have Fingal @ 16s and Shels @ 33s it looks like a good each way earner. The Students have beaten both these sides in the opening round of games in the First Division so far. They sit top of the division with a 100% record and have only conceded 3 goals in 6 games. I seen them on Friday night and they are a great young side and I wouldn't have them anything bigger than 25s to be honest.

UCD to win the League Cup with Powers @ 50/1 - 0.25pts ew

Everton draw no bet looks tempting at about 9/4

I agree. Villa have some injuries and I feel Everton are the stronger team at the minute. Villa will be dangerous going forward but Everton's defence is as solid as they come and Villa are dodgy at the back. I had this one penned in as a draw but I think with the injuries Everton draw no bet is a good shout.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,952 ✭✭✭Morzadec

hmm cant seem to find a price anywhere near as good as 9/4 think il leave it

Where you see that? Everton were 9/4 to win alright.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,952 ✭✭✭Morzadec
