    Hi,

Decided to dig out my bike again (extended loan to a friend!) and get back into riding. I used to dirt jump quite a bit, and wondering a) is Barna Woods still the only fairly cohesive place without trekking 10,00 miles and b) anyone else jump?

Just waiting for some new headgear, rear axle hub and bottom bracket before I haul my fat arse back on the loosepack again!

    L

Derroura is another option. The Trail is half way between Oughterard and Maam Cross.
    See www.coillteoutdoors.ie or www.connachtcycling.com

Not exactly on your doorstep but a lot nearer than Limerick or some of the other trails.

Clarenbridge might be an option too? People use the woods out there for running so I don't see why it couldn't be used for MTB also.

good stuff, i'm in Loughrea, we have Kylebrack woods which I'm just back from a saunter thru. Not prime jumping territory :) but a lovely place just to ride through. Come summertime, i'll be having weekends back and i'd love to hook up with a few and head out riding.

Can't even register now on WCW without being an actual member.
They seem to be more road-orientated than anything. I guess, starting my own forum mightn't be a bad idea!

Hey Psychobiker, I recently joined the WCW's and would highly recommend them. They have quite a strong road and mountain bike sides (as was evident at the Derroura challenge 2 weekends ago). I'm not sure why they changed the registration thing on the forum. I'll PM you on some contact details.

think it got changed cos something hacked into it and all the text was getting turned to characters and symbols. good strong road and mtb side to alright.
