    again, maybe a sticky for this mods?

    EMU - Electric Multiple Unit - Electrically powered train where each carriage powers itself with it's own motor- think DART
    DMU - Diesel Multiple Unit - Diesel powered train where each carriage powers itself with it's own engine- think commuter train and new intercity trains - not Cork or Belfast ones though.

    GSJ - Grade separated junction - where lines cross via a flyover, not a level junction.
    GS - Grade separate - changing a level crossing with an over or under bridge.
    LC - Level crossing

    TGV - french for High speed train - goes at up to 320kmh on special track
    AVE - Spanish for High speed train
    ICE - German high speed trains

    add more as you think of them
