My scenic has some sensor problems, the speedo sensor is not working etc. It should be easy to fix but would I have to bring it to a renault dealer or can someone else deal with it? My car is due a service anyway.

My local dealer told me at the last service that its about 200e to find and fix the sensor problem.
They disconected and reconnected/sealed everything into the ABS ECU (which calculates the speed) and it seemed to work for about 2 weeks afterwards, then died again.

Seems a coincidence that there are 3 posters on here in the space of a fortnight with the same issue

Im sure its not a coincidence at all, If you were to look at the renaultforums.co.uk you would see it is a very common problem. Renault sucks for sensors and electrical issues.
