Does anyone know how to physically get a stuck tape out of an LTO2 drive on an IBM 3584? Resetting the drive has no effect.

Press and hold the button on the right of the drive inside the library. You will need to hold it for 10 seconds or so...

The LED should give you a code that tells you why it went into an error state.

Thanks for the reply. I tried that but no joy on getting the tape out. Logistics sent me out a SCSI replacement instead of FC. I ended up just taking the board off the FC drive and installing it on the new drive. Pain is the ass but it's running away fine now.
