BTEA and deferring the year

I got my ordinary degree last year and have been unable to get a job since so am receiving JSA. I planned to go back to college in September but the course I had intended doing was scrapped. Along with this I had to pay tuition fees for my course and have been trying to pay these off this year (had to pay tuition fees as I went to college before; I am now a mature student).

So therefore I am unable to go to college this year but plan on going next September when I will have more money and when I can do a course I want.

Does anyone know if you can defer the BTEA for a year? I dont plan on being on the dole for another year - I would like to go abroad and try and get a job.
If I cant get the BTEA then I wont be able to go to college. The last 3 years have been hell financially and I could not go through that poverty again

No you cannot defer it for a year.
The BTEA postgrad option is currently for teacher education only
