What's the actual differences between the 2? I've always played ProV1s for no other reason then habit, that and I'm used to them - but I'm beginning to wander if I'm missing out on something???

Garcia used to play pro v 1x as he creates a lot of spin with his drive . less spin with drive = straighter. pros in general don't need more spin with they're irons they just need to control it .

ProV1x are a little harder, they give a little more distance because of this, but you will notice the difference on the putting green and the short chips. They don't feel as soft as the ProV1.
Good winter ball on softish courses.
For Summer golf the ProV1 is king.
