Makes your banger sound like a V8 (inside).
    Maybe something for boy racers?

The sound of engine and exhaust is a vital part of the experience when driving a car. Comfort and enviroment requirements, however, has led to an almost complete suppression of these sounds.
SoundRacer brings a realistic and exciting SuperCar engine sound into your silent standard car. Just plug the device in and start the engine. Then the impressive sound of an idling powerful Super Sports Car engine will fill the interior of the car.
As you drive away the sound will adjust to speed,
acceleration and shifting in a way that lets you
feel as you were driving the real thing!

The SoundRacer Car FM Transmitter was presented at CES in Las Vegas January 8-11, 2009. The many visitors in our booth showed great enthusiasm for SoundRacer.

lol!! i cant believe someone thought this would be a good idea,so you only hear the noise inside the car?? even the boyracers stick huge exhausts on their car so the noise is still real,

they should have brought it on dragons den:)

    Introduced in America:rolleyes:
Every second car there is a V8, I'd rather listen to that

The great thing is that it only sounds inside the car, so the rest of us are spared the noise.

    Sad, so sad....

But what's more sad is I listened to it and think I recogonise the engine sound it's sampled from. I'm sure I've heard it before, my first thought was a Ferrari, maybe a F430 GT2 car now I'm not so sure, I still think it's a race not road car.....

    Boy it's a quiet day... :)

This is from the times review of the Golf GTi.

"It’d be quiet too, retaining the standard Golf’s luxury car levels of refinement. Grand Tourer indeed. In fact the GTI is so quiet, Volkswagen’s engineers have had to add an electronic sound generator that takes engine frequencies and amplifies them to create a sporting note inside."

    MiCk B. :-)
