I have returned home to Sligo for Easter and was wondering what this race is like and what sort of standard is it. My pb is 41.23 minutes. Would the likes of David Kelly, Emmet Dunleavy be running it or would it be more of a local standard race. I know John Byrne from Mayo won it last year.

Generally more of a local standard race but you never know whod be around. 29 runners under 40mins last year. Its actually a great little race and well worth it. Undulating, a longish hill past Lisadell house from 3.5 to 5k and a tough undulating 5k back. Organisation very good. Races for nippers before are good craic, grub after is good and in general a good day at the races!
